Keep in mind, login credentials for Facebook's Graph Search, pages information, and status updates are NOT visible to the target of the attack, unless he/she has recently logged in to the site. Neither is the site's URL. The site asks the user to select the user's photo and chosen media file, before making it look as though it is taking time for this part of the hacking to be completed. Below follows a screenshot obtained of the second stage of hacking, in which a friend's name is retrieved from the target's friends list, as shown below, and the authentication process then begins, and the button's text changes to "Please Wait...":
Clicking on Authenticate Now only provides the hacker with a list of the target's email account, while also logging in the attacker's account. To the Facebook user's horror, the hacker has already managed to retrieve his/her email ID. Next page displayed is a Bit.ly link, "http://bit.ly/c0t3fY" (we added it manually so you guys can inspect it) that leads to an address with the following text:
Bitly is a free service that allows for shortening and linking of web addresses. The domain you are being redirected to is kept private and the link is only the last part of the long URL. You may wonder how did you get here? Well, after you give us your email address, we send you a link by email to http://www.facebook.com/user. This can be very useful tool to get in touch with someone or someone to help with a problem that you have. The only assumption you make is that it is a valid e-mail address and it is not the e-mail address of any one of these people. So, the damages you are about to do to this unknown person or people is as follow: you hack their Facebook account and steal their email information.
