The keyboard controls are pretty much what you would expect from a game that uses the keyboard to control your character. They're fairly responsive and precision isn't really an issue. It's just that they aren't as intuitive as they could be. I mean, it's pretty easy to make the camera go up and down, but coming from the PC, I had to adjust my expectations a bit. It's very easy to accidentally hit a key that you didn't mean to press. It's also fairly easy to accidentally press a key that you actually wanted to press. The up and down keys are pretty much the same, no matter what you're doing. The key for the camera is only slightly different in that you have to hold it to move the camera up and down, and you can release it to cancel the movement. The left/right keys are slightly different as they control where the camera is pointed, instead of where the camera is pointed.
Basically, the only thing I disliked on the keyboard was the auto-move and auto-zoom function. That's the only thing I thought that could be improved on. It would be much easier for me to just move it to where the camera was pointing, instead of actually moving the camera, and once I set it to where I want it, I can just press the down key and it will automatically zoom in and out as needed. I think that's what you were talking about with the mouse.
