Between May 30 and June 6, 2013, Mars performed at the 2013 Lollapalooza in Chicago, Illinois.[84] From August 17 to September 10, 2013, Mars toured the United States with Sia Furler on the Sia Furler and Big Time Rush: 2013 Summer Tour.

The album was released exclusively in the clubs' web pages. Mars performed Unorthodox Jukebox on May 8, 2013, at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards. At the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, which took place on February 8, 2013, Unorthodox Jukebox was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album;[69] to date the record has not won any awards. Mars also nominated the album for Album of the Year, although the record lost to Adele's 21.[70]
On September 27, 2012, Mars offered people the opportunity to pre-order the record through the official website of the academy.
