My thoughts became more definite. I was not on a little planet, but on a space ship. And there were no windows to the world outside. I was in the midst of an endless storm of destruction. A few hours, two days, three days passed. The wind was high and cold, and the snow was falling heavily. At any time I could have chosen to go back to that place of the dead. And I would have chosen to be there at that time.
Some days, I thought of going back to the old ways, and the memory would come and suddenly shoot me again into the killing wind. But then, I would remember that I was a stranger, and I would go back to my new life. I would go back to the new life.
