The new African Nations Cup finals will increase the participation of Africa’s 41 African national teams from 24 to 41, which is larger than the total number of teams in the next the two biggest international football competitions: the World Cup and UEFA European Championship. The tournament will increase the number of matches played during the tournament from 67 to 95, with a total of 43 matches over the entire week and a total of 176 matches over the course of the four days. Throughout the week, 17 matches will be played on the main pitch, and the other 26 matches will be played on the sub-pitches.
